Cricket Tasmania congratulates Rod Tucker for his elevation to the ICC's Elite Panel of Umpires. Tucker, an ex first class player for Tasmania and NSW's between 1986-99. took up umpiring in Hobart in 2002 as part of CA's experimental Project Panel and has progressed from his first official umpiring appointment, an U/17 match at Kangaroo Bay, to now join other Australians, Simon Taufel, Steve Davis and Daryl Harper as a member of the twelve strong international elite group.
