Alex Doolan enjoyed a breakout year in 2010-11, scoring 554 runs at an average of 40 and he was a pivotal member of the Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield Final side, posting 45 and 65 not out in both innings.  Alex is the son of former Tasmanian opening batsmen Bruce Doolan, who played in the state’s first Sheffield Shield team. The classy right hand batsmen will look to continue building his reputation as dependable top order batsmen in 2011-12.
