MILO in2CRICKET Program
This is a club, school or community based program for 5 to 10 year-olds. The program consists of both cricket skills and modified games run over an 8 to 10 week period using modified cricket equipment. The program costs $60 and includes giveaways to each participant, including a backpack, hat, bat, ball, MILO and more! Visit the MILO in2CRICKET section to find out more!

Cricket Tasmania Youth League
Youth Leagues are played in all three regions of Tasmania. This is a club based competition with the age groups region specific. The age range starts at Under 11 and goes up to Under 17. This is the beginning of organised club cricket in Tasmania.

Commonwealth Bank Emerging Tigers and Emerging Roar Programs
This is the first talent identification program. Young cricketers, male and female, are nominated by their club, school or association to try out for their regions Commonwealth Bank Emerging Tigers or Emerging Roar Squad. The squads in each region are Under 13, Under 14, Under 15 and Under 16 for boys (Emerging Tigers) and Under 13 & Under 16 for girls (Emerging Roar). The program begins with trials (matches & training) at the end of a season and then runs periodically until each final squad is selected around November. These final squads in each age group represent their region in the Commonwealth Bank Intrastate Cup.

Commonwealth Bank Intrastate Cup Competition
This is the Tasmania’s premier intrastate series for talented cricketers. It is held each year during the December-January holiday period. Each year it is held in a different region around the state. At the series the three regions (known as the Northern Thunder, Southern Storm& North West Lightning) are represented in the age groups of Under 13, Under 14, Under 15 and Under 16 for boys and Under 13 & Under 16 for girls. In the Under 16 boys age group a Tasmanian Under 15 team is selected to play. This team consists of well performed players from the Under 15 age group from all around the state who are on the radar of state Under 15 selection.

Country Areas Program
The country areas program begins with a round of Country Challenges around the state. These country challenges are for primary school aged cricketers. Each challenge has teams enter that represent a country area. There are four run in the South. The areas are South East, Derwent Valley, Huon and Channel. In the Greater Northern Region there is one challenge which includes Meander, Northern Midlands, Tamar, North East, East Coast & Circular Head. These carnivals are used for talent identification purposes. Six sides are selected out of these challenge to compete in the Tasmanian State-wide Country Challenge.

Tasmanian Under 15 Boys Team
The Tasmanian Under 15 Team compete in the School Sport Australia Under 15 Championship held in February/March each year.

Tasmanian Under 17 & 19 Boys Teams
These teams compete in the Cricket Australia National Championships each year. The Under 17s are held in December while the Under 19s are in January. Both age groups play Twenty20, one day and two day matches. These age groups also include a regional series in September.

Tasmanian Under 15 & Under 18 Girls Teams
These teams compete in the Cricket Australia National Championships each year. The Under 15s are held in December while the Under 18s are in January. Both age groups play one day and twenty/20 matches.

CT Premier League / NTCA / Cricket North West Club Cricket
Regional Senior Cricket Associations based in Hobart (CT), Launceston (NTCA) and the North West Coast (CNW) These are club based and a continuation on from  Youth Leagues – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Grade.

Futures League
The old Second XI competition. Now aimed at under 23’s but 4 over 25’s are allowed in a team. This is the last stop before playing for the PKF Tasmanian Tigers.

Centre of Excellence
Players selected from around the country to spend a pre-season in Brisbane training at the Centre of Excellence.

CT Specialist Training Squads
Each season players are selected to participate in a pre-season specialist squad. These squads are based on skill areas – Pace Bowling, Spin Bowling, Batting and Wicket-Keeping. The players age can range from 12 upwards, year and skill dependant and are ran right across Tasmania.
