The PKF Tasmanian Tigers will head to Adelaide tomorrow afternoon to play in what will be their third consecutive Ryobi One-Day Cup Final.

The PKF Tigers will clash with the Redbacks at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday and will be boosted by the inclusion of former Australian Captain Ricky Ponting who will come into the already strong Tasmanian line-up.

Tasmanian selectors have named a well-balanced squad of 13 to head to South Australia and will decide on the final 12 on the morning of the match.

Chairman of Selectors Michael Farrell said the group is really excited to be a part of another One-Day Domestic Final.

“The PKF Tigers will take good form into the match as well as plenty of big game experience.

“The team has shown a great ability to play well under pressure throughout the season and have prepared well for the final.

“Ricky Ponting’s inclusion injects world-class qualities into our team and we know that he is very excited at the prospect of playing in this final for Tasmania,” Farrell said.

While also focusing on the final on Saturday, PKF Tigers’ in-form all-rounder Luke Butterworth has turned his attention to assisting with the promotion and awareness of Donate Life Week which started on the 19th of February and will finish on Sunday the 26th of February.

Donate Life Week is part of the Australian Government’s national awareness campaign to increase family discussion about each other’s organ and tissue donation wishes.

Luke’s wife Brooke, a Cystic Fibrosis sufferer, received a double lung transplant in 2009 so he has a personal connection when it comes to organ donation.

“Donate Life is an awareness campaign to increase family discussion about each other’s wishes and I’d like to personally urge you to ask and know your loved one’s wishes in regards to organ and tissue donation,” he said.
