Clarence have taken a commanding lead in the race for the Cricket Tasmania BETASPORT Premier League (CTPL) Club Championship Ladder after nine rounds in First Grade and five rounds in lower grades.
Clearly on top in First Grade having not lost a game nearly half way through the season, the Roos have had solid performances down the grades as well, giving them a handy 18 point lead of second placed Lindisfarne and South Hobart Sandy Bay, both on 86 points.
In a true reflection of the award and it’s need for a contribution from all grades, it is the Sharks’ lower grades, Third Grade and Under 17s in particular, keeping them in the hunt for the award, and they will be looking to their First Grade team to boost their tally with some wins in the second half of the season.
Lindisfarne also has relied heavily on their lower grades, with their ladder-leading Third Grade and Women’s teams and their second-placed Under 17s contributing the majority of their points so far.
